Injectables

Neurotoxin®

Neurotoxin® works well for treating those muscles that are repeatedly over-contracted during facial expressions such as frowning or squinting. Treating frown lines, forehead creases, vertical lines between the eyebrows or crow’s feet near the eyes, can give you a relaxed and rested appearance within a matter of days. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that botulinum toxin injections are effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

At The Well House, we offer both Botox® and Daxxify®, two leading neuromodulators designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles for a refreshed, youthful appearance. Whether you’re looking for subtle prevention or a more long-lasting treatment, our expert providers will guide you to the best option for your goals and lifestyle.

What’s the Difference?

Botox®

Manufactured by Allergan Aesthetics, a division of AbbVie.

The industry gold standard, Botox is known for its proven track record, fast results, and versatility. It typically lasts 3 to 4 months and is ideal for treating dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines.

Daxxify®

Manufactured by Revance Aesthetics.

A newer, peptide-powered alternative, Daxxify stands out for its longer-lasting results—up to 6 months or more for some patients. It’s also free from human or animal byproducts, making it a great option for those looking for a vegan-friendly injectable.

FAQ

How does it work?

Neurotoxin® works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles in the designated area which prevents the muscle from receiving the message to contract. The effects are confined to the injection site and do not travel throughout the body.

What is Neurotoxin®?

Neurotoxin® was the first to market and a household name. Neurotoxin® eliminates forehead lines, crow’s feet and other facial wrinkles that can make you look angry, stressed and aged. It takes 3-4 days to take effect and lasts about 3-5 months.

Is it Safe?

Neurotoxin® has been aggressively tested and is approved by the FDA. Clients can receive treatment and return to normal activities right away.

What are the results?

You can expect to see a smoother, more youthful appearance after an injection. Following treatment, visible results are apparent within 3–5 days; however, it can take up to 2 weeks to see full results. The long-lasting effects of Neurotoxin is 3-5 months.

What can I expect during the treatment?

The administration of Neurotoxin® injections is a 10-15 minute, non-surgical procedure. A very fine needle is inserted into the muscles at target areas, quickly injecting small portions of the neurotoxin liquid. Some clients report mild, temporary discomfort from the treatments.

Re-treatment Neurotoxin Instructions

If you have a special event or vacation coming up, please keep in mind that you may want to schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.

It is recommended to discontinue the use of Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week before and after treatment to minimize bruising or bleeding. Please consult with your primary physician prior to discontinuing any medications.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. (All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling).

If you develop a cold / flu, cold sore, blemish, or rash, etc. in the area to be treated prior to your appointment, we recommend that you please reschedule your appointment until it resolves.

It is recommended to discontinue Retin-A two (2-3) days before treatment to avoid any increased redness and irritation.

It is recommended that you wait at least 2 weeks to have botulinum toxin treatments performed if you have previously had cosmetic treatments with laser, ultrasound, peels, facials or microdermabrasion.

Post-treatment Neurotoxin Instructions

Do NOT lie head down flat, touch, or rub the treated areas for at least 4 hours.

Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week after treatment. These items may increase bleeding and bruising.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours after your treatment. These items may contribute to increased swelling or irritation.

This filler line is FDA-approved for dynamic facial areas (like around the mouth) and is perfect for those seeking a more refined, flexible filler that adapts to facial expressions. RHA results can last up to 15 months, depending on the product used.

Is it Safe?

There is no downtime with Fillers. You can resume normal activity following the procedure. You’ll likely experience swelling or a bit of bruising, which should fade within a few days.

What are the different Fillers?

Juvederm® is a delicate Filler perfect for accomplishing the subtle, natural-looking results most clients’ desire. It helps age-proof the entire mouth area, which is one of the first parts of the face to show signs of aging.

Volumais® the first filler formulated with lidocaine that is FDA approved to restore age-related volume changes in the cheeks. Unlike other fillers commonly used to treat the midface, Voluma is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. HA fillers are made from long chains of sugars that occur naturally in the skin. Voluma is unique in that the HA is cross-linked through a process called Vycross that helps provide an excellent lifting capacity. This special cross-linking also helps to avoid degradation, making Voluma last almost twice as long as other fillers. Studies have shown that it can last up to 2 years. And since it is an HA filler, it can be molded and shaped into the desired contour after injection.

Volbella® is a Hyaluronic Acid filler just like Juvederm and Voluma, but its unique properties make it ideal in treating both the fine lines around your mouth as well as bringing natural fullness to the lips.  Volbella is an ultra-smooth gel, which delivers a natural look and feel the lip area without the swelling received from more traditional fillers.

Vollure® is a Hyaluronic Acid Filler that reduces the appearance of more severe facial folds and lines around the mouth and nose. Vollure® produces subtle and long-lasting results for up to 18 months.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Dermal Fillers are injected beneath the skin of the treated area with a small needle. You may experience swelling or minor bruising that will fade within a few days. Treatments can last from 6 months to several years.

What are the results?

Dermal Fillers are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, contour the face and create volume. Clients will see an immediate youthful fullness to the area that is injected.
